Subject: RE: Accutrak autosteer

East Central Alberta

Been using Accutrac on a 9400 deere for 4 years now(upgraded to an AX5 as of last year).Really like it. Some of the menu commands are a little cumbersome but it now does all the things we need it to. eg:nudge,A+heading angle etc.

Also have installed on Macdon swather for last two years and like that as well. Not near as tired after a long day.Only possible downside on a swather would be on quite hilly land. The system "robs" oil from either hydrostatic motor in order to make it turn, and therefore would not work well if the hills were sharp enough and the swather was more or less "freewheeling" down the hill.

Have used outback gps the first year and JDsf2 the last three. Worked on either system, but a lot more accurate on sf2.Remember you will all get "addicted to accuracy."

In the pic the receiver is offset a couple inches,as our drill seems to skew one way slightly.
