I run a 245 on my pull type sprayer and I think my gain is at 28.  I find that the faster I want to drive the higher I need to run the gain.  28 seems to be a good number for me and lets me run up to 11 mph.  If I set it higher the front wheels chatter back and forth at slower speeds.
