I have always had a problem remembering people's names. Never forget a face but can't recall their name right away.
I think with a lot of new technology we don't train ourselves to remember things like we used to have to do. Also, there is so much going on and that makes it difficult to remember everything we need to do. I know if there is something I definitely need to remember, I consciously think about about it for a few seconds and that seems to help. I think too many times we just are told something and we don't spend a few seconds to think about it and we never "record" it in the brain.
Of course my favorite excuse is my brain is full and at capacity and to learn or remember something else, some other information has to be deleted first before there is room for something else. |
