I either just wipe it out, or do the salt trick. Never any water. If something is stuck, I take the metal Turner thing and scrape a bit then use the salt to smooth it back down. Salt works like sand paper. If it's really gooey like hamburger helper and stuck, turn the heat up and burn it and it will come right out with above methods. It will get slick, and a plus is you can use metal cookware with no damage.
