Eastern Shore of MD | That's not necessarily true. If you HAVE to have the latest than yes, be prepared to continually upgrade. My Phantom 3 Pro is still very relevant, capable and supported almost two years later and I see no reason I NEED to upgrade yet. I actually just did some photos for a business early this week and they were AMAZED at the quality. They didn't seem to care my drone didn't have obstacle avoidance.
To the op - what is your budget, what do you want to do!? Very important questions. It's like saying 'I want to buy the best piece of farm equipment.'
