| Windows 10 has so many undocumented quirks - some people find Win 10 works great out of the box, some say it bites.
Generally refurbs are even better than new in box - Lenovo systems are generally good quality equipment.
Check for updates - we don't know what version of Win 10 was installed on your laptop, and the annual major update was released last month.
Verify the driver for your network interface card (NIC - even though a laptop doesn't have cards) is up-to-date. You will want to go to Lenovo direct to make sure - they made the laptop and installed the NIC, they will have the motivation to make the best drivers for your system. Some Win 10 drivers supplied by Micro$oft are just good enough to work.
Your attached pic shows you've been able to download and upload - as you indicated it connects, just not reliably. If you have the correct and latest drivers, perhaps you found the reason the previous owner returned the laptop?
