Subject: RE: Broadcasting Cover Crop during Combining

Beaver Dam, WI
Buggy is a retired one from a coop auction. We let through and got it fixed up... spread pattern is 45ft... but I spread basically 30ft in fall in soybean stubble.... 1 it matches my combine head 30ft.. it's easy to see the combine pass.... and it does not streak. I'd have to find my records to see how much I had it set for with all the different blends I've spread I don't really remember some odd reason I think just under 100lbs... or I think where the gate just was above the drag chain if I remember right. I also have a 3pt cone style spreader I like to use for inner seeding..... that actually throws a nice 30ft pattern but in the fall I like filling the buggy and it last a long time covering acres. I jus let bought a rotary hoe also after spreading rye on soybean stubble I want to see if the hoe will help send to soil contact be better. Reason being is last year harvest was wet so growing g rye was easy... spilled seed in pick up truck WAS even growing
