Sure, I understand snow insulating the crop before it is in the reproductive stage, especially in the dead of winter; bury the crop in sub-freezing snow to give it good protection from times when there are sub-ZERO air temperatures. But I have heard some say that this snow will protect/insulate the wheat heads...and that just does not make sense to me.
