Sorry to see that ! Grandpa recounted a story one time of a snow coming late on wheat that was in bloom here. Many were concerned that it would hurt the wheat and took a long hay rope strung between two horses to try and "flick" the snow off the wheat heads. They knocked the bloom off that wheat those that let it alone it turned out okay. Moral of his story was sometimes you are better off to let mother nature take her course and not to interfere.
