Subject: Killing a cover crop of rye.

7 days ago it was nice out - 65 degrees or so. I sprayed some rye cover crop that was 8-12 " tall. I was advised to use 44 oz of powermax, with ams and a little crop oil. It was warm for 3-4 days after application and since has gotten cool daytime temp in 40's,
Some of of the smaller plants look like they got dinged, the larger plants don't look affected. I should go take some pics.
My question is, how long does it take for these plants to die? I imagine the cool weather has delayed the activity of the round up.
