Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | As I recall the first EZ-Booms were designed for sprayers. That meant that the section control would open a section valve by outputting current to the boom section valve when it decided that a section should be ON. Since most row shut offs on a planter do the opposite, that is send out power to STOP planting, the logic was backwards. This could be reversed by using a double throw relay for each section.
Later EZ-Boom firmware allowed the setting to be changed to allow it to behave as original for use with spray sections or to operate with the reverse logic for planter section control.
When working as a tech, I made several wiring harnesses that allowed Ag Leader clutches and wiring harnesses to mate with the EZ-Boom harnesses so it certainly can be done. If the EZ-Boom doesn't have the reversing business for a planter, I think that a firmware upgrade will add this. |
