Mix 5% more chemicals than 80 acres worth. So charge the guy for 84 acres worth of chemicals. Then spray it. When you get done see how many acres of coverage the computer says - these are the acres you charge application for. If there's anything left in the tank spray it out in the field at half the rate (gpa) you already applied it at - you don't charge for that app.
What will probably happen though is you'll still be an acre short on chemicals. Then you get to spend time mixing enough to finish which kills a lot of time. Then the farmer is pissed because your charging him for more acres than "what is there".
The first time in a new field is the hardest, but after you have a record of how the spray acres came out its always very close. | |
