We done the same thing about two months ago. Was told the same thing about data rates, from two different verizon techs, that we wouldn't see a drop in speed because we weren't in a congested area. Now, in the third billing cycle, we are now being limited in speed. I called in and was told some users had "slipped through" the first couple billing cycles and that all hotspot devices and even phone tethering would be limited to 10 GB at 4G, after that they limit you to 3G speeds, or a maximum of 600 kb/s, no matter how busy the network is.
