South Central Iowa | No. If corn planting delays exist around May 20, the price will be much higher than here; say $4.20-70. Farmers will plant late May corn that yields 90% of normal if the price increased 20%. If anything, there might be more corn acres or more PP. Also, the soybean planting would likely be behind schedule as well, score one for PP.
The soybeans hold firm because the trade believes that the largest acreage number was already printed. The believe it will go down. They are probably correct. I don't think we get more soy acres and a corn planting delay will cause either more corn acres or PP.
