HaHa .... but seriously , I share your concern. Roy Smith has some history to back up his "Always sell new crop corn May 1st" rule. The fact that we cant build some risk premium right now on delays is trouble some. Unwinding the long side via calls is maybe easier to act on then out right sales. I guess I will remain in the "don't make unprofitable sales this early" camp. I know hoping for higher prices aint a marketing plan but selling for less than you have in it aint a business plan either. Figure out what you need .... market usually offers it to you at some point. | |
