My Trimble guy says it will create a boundary for the monitor to read for calculating areas and for section control. He didn't know how it imported into SMS.
It's possible it is a software issue if you are not up to date wit SMS or the FM.
I KNOW in the past that making a Headland and Boundary at the same time USED to import into SMS without trouble. That's how we used to do it.
I'd try a Headland on a field and see if that makes a line with the dots connected. It will also create a boundary.
The FM does make the Boundary by making a series of dots and connecting the dots with a line.
