I had a barn owl visit my place. He was sitting in an old silo. Not any large areas in the silo to make a nest.  I would like to try to interest him into the barn. Better places to roost. If I cut a hole near the top, under the barn roof overhang, and put a perch for him to sit on, I am thinking that might interest him. But then, other birds my enter the barn also.

Any thoughts would be welcomed.
