Frisco, TX | You could call and ask them what recent purchases might have tripped their "consumer merchant"codes? My experience in the credit card industry tells me they have noticed one or more recent purchases on your business card from what they have coded as typical "consumer" type merchants. As long as you are using your card for business purpose purchases, I wouldn't worry about it. For example, a restaurant charge could have been for business travel or entertainment and a legitimate business expense. Or an Amazon purchase could have been for office supplies. Just some examples. I don't think they are after your rewards points; nor trying to penalize you for not carrying balances subject to interest charges. They are required by law to provide certain consumer disclosures to "consumer" but not "business purpose" card accounts and if they avoid doing so they can save additional costs.
