Subject: Shaft speed sensor on JD hydraulic drive

Greensburg, IN
Any way to test the sensor with an ohm meter ? Hooked it into an Insight system an the Insight said it is not recieving any signal from the drive sensor. This came off a JD 1770 and putting it on a Kinze planter. Not sure it was working because I bought it on a sale as an individual item. Took it apart and there is a "wheel" and a small computer board inside the round casing. Any help greatly appreciated. Also can't get the motor to speed up or slow down by doing a manual speed change. This is being done setting in the shop. Thought this may be not working because the shaft speed sensor is not working.
