I have a camera attachment that allows a camera to be mounted to a tripod with a quick release. They no longer mfg the tripod & I can't find the quick-release mechanism anywhere. So, I was wondering, is anyone here on AT working with aluminum 3D printing yet? If so, would such a project be feasible? I only need a couple of them. They only measure about 2" x 2" x 1/2". I could be made from super-tough plastic would be OK...normally aluminum though. I don't have a picture of the one mounting plate I do have, but here's something similar, though not exact. Forget the rubber cushion, not mandatory. Just gives you an idea of what it looks like. I do have a good plate presently...but it might be the last one in existence. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1118088-REG/manfrotto_200lt_pl_quick_release_plate.html Or, does 3D printing not work like this? I'm not familiar, only what I've read. |
