Subject: Too dry to plant corn

Callao, Missouri
I got a surprise this afternoon. I pulled into a field of cover crop wheat to plant corn green. The growing wheat has in my opinion, dried out the soil too much to plant. I have the down pressure almost maxed out on the old Kinze but it's not going much deeper than 2.5".

Went up north to a field without cover, it has moisture there so that's where I'll be heading tomorrow. I sure didn't expect this problem in north mo on April 22. Not really sure what to do.
