NE ND | I talked to the FWS employee who is in charge of easements in our area. I was told that on a quarter with an easement on 30 acres of wetlands that is holding 80 acres of water, he has the authority to allow the farmer to rid himself of the extra 50 acres of water. This was new to me. My land is not encumbered by an easement, but I do rent a quarter that is pretty wet.
I have no idea how this works in practice, but I do plan on finding out.
Anyone have experience with this change of heart from the FWS? | |
