I don't think we will see any sort of real and sustainable recovery until this gets addressed.

Yes it's gonna be painful but if we wait until it all collapses it will be much much worse.

We would suffer an immediate depression but would soon enter an economic boom and real positive growth not seen since the post WW 2 era where everything thrived as we had a world to rebuild.

This would also be a huge incentive as the US could really compete with low health care costs on bidding for jobs. The deficit could be reigned in the debt brought under control and began to be shrank and people would have more money in their pockets and more security in being able to spend.

Sadly it's not going to happen. Trump is being consumed and co opted by the swamp itself  and has hitched his wagon to the stock market boom since his election. He will for sure be hitched to it when it collapses also.

Oh and for those in Congress who will surely say "nobody could have seen them coming" ?

The Freedom Caucus, many other reps, media, and talk show hosts have all been informed about this by a whole host of people.

Their refusal to even discuss it or act upon it means they are now all complicit in what happens.
