Subject: RE: Every million acres in ......

Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
Every million acres in Ill, Iowa or southern Minn, that doesn't get planted reduces production by 180-200 million bushel. Given that we need to reduce supply by some 750 to 1000 million bushel to seriously tighten up supply & demand you can see that unplanted acres could have a effect. In addition, late planting knocks off a bushel to bushel & a half per day. Do that over enough acres, enough days and it will add up, especially in those states with 10-12 million acres. And finally, corn really doesn't grow well in waterlogged soils. Otherwise, why would we waste all that money on tile.
