In addition, late planting knocks off a bushel to bushel & a half per day. Do that over enough acres, enough days and it will add up, especially in those states with 10-12 million acres. And finally, corn really doesn't grow well in waterlogged soils. Otherwise, why would we waste all that money on tile. |
