I rule of thumb I've heard is 1 inch off the row for every 10 gallons of 28%. I believe David Hula put 60# down and is 3X2. If you have concerns I'd go 3 inches for the piece of mind. My planter is setup 2X0, I normally run 15 gallons of 32%.
