One of the big differences versus the 80's is the influence of off shore money coming into this housing market, not saying there won't be a day of reckoning but there is ton of offshore speculators and buyers willing to buy piece of Canada at any cost. All little towns around us (outside the green belt) have seen big surges in values and development.
