NW Iowa | I think any kind of military conflict with NK would be nearly over before it started---and they know it, otherwise they wouldn't feel the need for all the silly propaganda films and public displays of "strength"....
At any rate, in the very unlikely scenario where US and China were allies in a long term military effort, one could possibly build an argument that such an undertaking would increase Chinese demand for raw materials to maintain the war effort. War today is not fought like it was in the '40s and therefore wouldn't require the same type of effort. But if it were long term enough it could still require raw materials.
on a side note, the wild card in all this is Russia (as usual)-----how would they react if China and/or US bombed PyongYang? Maybe they wouldn't do anything. Or maybe they'd have some silly reason for retaliating, which would create a pretty dicey situation. At any rate If they did retaliate, we can only hope to see shirtless Putin riding in on horseback to increase morale
