Subject: RE: Old crop corn

S Illinois
How much are the Minnesota back to back record corn yields tied into the quick planting of the last two years? Looking back, on May 1 2015, 70% of Minnesota's corn was planted and in 2016 59% was planted. This compares with 2013, 2014 planting progress in the single digits on May 1. 2013 yields were 159, 2014-156. 2015-188, 2016-193.

After going through 2009, any date planting corn between April 5 and June 1 in S IL can still be a record, it just depends on summer weather.
