Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80 | I don't think I like that idea. A: Our local sprayer business, uses 3/4" hose just to supply EACH boom section on sprayer over 45 ft. B: Using a Blue tip nozzle (typically 15 GPA) each nozzle might be delivering roughly .3 GPM x 36 nozzles (on a small 60 ft boom) = 10.8 GPM flow. I know when I've tested a 3/4" garden hose flow, from a water hydrant it was only roughly 7.5 gallon per minute and I was next to the well pump. {using that logic, 3/4" isn't big enough} C: If spraying 20 GPA, like Liberty, it would be worse. Red tip nozzles, are roughly .40 GPM x 36 nozzles = 14.4 GPM of flow. D: Maybe your sprayer is bigger than a 60 ft boom = worse, yet. E: They also want "low turbulence", before and after a flow meter. What I've read is; 12" of straight flow before, and 6" of straight flow after a flow meter. |
