Chebanse, IL.....

If you fly your drone "away" from home somewhere, it's a good idea to have some aviation maps at your side. You have to know whether or not you're going to be in someone's airspace. Generally you won't be if you adhere to the 400' max altitude, but if you happen to be close to a big airport (think airline service), then it's best to know what your boundaries are. Seems that a lot of the drone folks are finding the "VFRmap" website as a valuable tool. It will instantly load the most current aviation map for your viewing. It's viewable on a computer, but the most valuable part I think is the telephone app. It brings up the chart area that pertains to where you are standing at the moment. I find this app quick & easy. There are others, I know.
