Ontario | actually most are 2 core now and a couple are 4, don't think they even make a single core processor anymore. without knowing the exact hardware it's tough to say if hardware is the issue but assuming it was bought new last fall and not used the hardware should be more then capable of running a browser with plenty of tabs open. it is possible something is defective of course but that's fairly unlikely. i'd still say it has to be something software related
BSchroeder if you want you could email me your service tag(usually on bottom of laptop) which would allow me to see exactly what hardware you have. the malwarebytes suggestion is also very good, you get a free trial and that program is very good at getting rid of crap.
