As the other fella says, it's best to wipe the card, at least every now and then, so the hidden junk doesn't accumulate.
By chance are you reading the tiny card directly on the tablet, and using one of those adaptor deals to use the tiny card in a normal size slot in the computer?
Most of those adaptor cards have a tiny switch on them for locked or unlocked.......
