Subject: RE: Gluten free

NW Iowa
My wife had a bad reaction a few years ago where she ended up vomiting for two days, the second day she was throwing up blood. The doctor ordered an upper and lower GI but by the time the tests were done she was healed up. They found no internal damage which is good in the long run. Today she is developing a big purple birth mark type blotch on her left arm and a smaller one on the right arm from eating this beef 'tainted' with maltodextrin. And yes, traveling and eating out can be an adventure. We usually pack our food when we travel. If I might endorse a restaurant, Culvers has a very good gluten free bun. You have to specify it of course. You can't tell it from a 'real' bun baked with wheat. It's not tasteless and crumbly like most gluten free baked products.Neither of us reacted to their bun so it must be OK. I wish I could get hold of the recipe but I'm sure they hold that as a trade secret.
