I'll also question the facts of this "close encounter". Seems it's from England again? Why always Heathrow? That's where the last big news of a close encounter was. Someone on approach to Heathrow. But in the end, it turned out to be a plastic bag drug aloft by winds. The photo they show in the article with the octa-copter drone is really misleading. Any photographer understands that one. I'd guess that small drone is 1 mile away & thousands of feet below the relatively huge jet in the background. If folks want to worry about something, worry about planes that are in the clouds with you that aren't supposed to be. That's happened since they set up IFR rules in the '40s. But, we don't talk about it often. Not supposed to happen. |
