My best friend had an Apple 2E with a tape drive and a modem! I was so jealous, but my parents would not get me one. In high school we used the Commodore 64 to learn programming. Then in college I bought a 286 clone with a monochrome monitor and a 40 mb hard drive. The 286 had a button that would let you run the processor at either 4 or 8 mhz.
