Fort near the where the Minnesota river joins the Mississippi in Twin cities metro area

Museum that is downtown Minneapolis on the banks of the Mississippi in the husk of a old grain mill. Does a nice job of touching on the milling history of Minneapolis and a bit of Minnesota culture. Also near the new Viking stadium and a revitalized area of Minneapolis.

This one I haven't done myself but sticking with the up the Mississippi theme. It's a historic farm north of the twin cities metro along the banks of river that depicts settler agriculture and just went through a major remodeling and addition and is now also trying to show modern Minnesota ag.
And to finish off the Mississippi tour as others suggested
