First off, that was a great topic! Here's my follow up question. Would it be fair to say the SOM "ceiling" for most any given soil on your farm would be equal to that found in the adjacent fence row?
I'm thinking that the level found in your fence row is the practical limit as to how much SOM can be improved on any given piece of ground.
