Err, are you sure you don't have an F10? Sometimes (laptops mostly) there will be keys with more than one label (color coded) that you can access with modifier keys. One labeled "FN" perhaps. Try the escape key in the bios screen, it may have a save prompt, too.
Should be changeable from the OS anyway. If that's not staying current change out the battery.
