Uuuumm, I'm not sure what you are asking, but when a crop needs X number of inches per acre for a given yield response, that is X inches all the way across in the soil.


Pivot systems here need certain amount of GPM per acre to keep up with demands for different crops. Drip is still the same inch requirements, but application is more efficient so less is lost to the atmosphere.
