What part of Texas? Do you have to rip because you do not get the freezing/thawing we do? Do you have to worry it might stay lumpy?
Central Texas. Yes to loosen up compaction from all the machinery used to get the corn silage out of the field. After a rain you can go through with a disk and it will smooth out the soil.
