Tech was telling me that he understood  that there was at least some shared development of  Deere's 13.5 litre diesel engine   with Detroit Engines.

He is a good guy and  wasn't entirely sure about it all,  but  this made me wonder if any Detroit products share that infamous engine destroying  gear-driven coolant pump setup...?
