Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I agree. At first it would seem like typing the fields into a computer and then loading them via a memory card should be a good idea.
In real practice I find that the procedure is not that useful.
With new customers, I suggest bringing the unit into the office or house and plugging it into 110 A.C. Then the operator can manually enter in the field names through the unit itself.
This doesn't involve a computer and I feel this forces some "practice" with the unit which will be of a benefit later anyway.
I encourage customers to give some thought to field names before they enter them. Thinking about how fields may be split up and meaningful names or abbreviations is a worthwhile exercise. I know this from experience. |
