What combines did you have good luck with? Interested in the old ones but any that you really liked. Also would like to hear stories of when the first self propelled combine came out. And I have heard of stories with guys running impressive acreages through small machines back in the day.
I have a Gleaner F2 4 cylinder turbo that I use, and a 6 cylinder F2 that is work in progress. I like the old gleaners and might pick up a E or K just to play around with and fix up. I also bought a Massey 300 slant 6 for a few acres of wheat but sold it to a neighbor who needed it. I liked that one with the Chrysler purring away beside you.. I guess I just like old combines!

Another neighbor has a Massey 850 Love the look of it and the black smoke from the 354 perkins. Sounds nice too on a quiet evening and can hear it from far away. Not really a reliable combine but gets the job done.

I like hearing stories from back in the day, when neighbors helped each other and everything seemed simpler.
