SE IA | OM is important. Perrienial crops prb can build OM better than any other crop. What I am looking for are some real success stories on farms or fields where you have increased OM.
What did it take? Continuous corn? Lots of manure? A five year crop rotation?
Trying to build soils with high yields. More residue returning with 200+bushel corn than 160 bushel corn. Beans seem to return so little OM that I wonder how they fit into the equation other than to set up the soil for another crop. | |
