Subject: Corn on wheat stubble vs bean stubble?

NWND
So here is my finding on my last qrtr of corn for 2016. This quarter had 30 acres of beans last year and the rest was 110 acres of wheat. Pretty even dirt across this field. Here is my findings.

Bean stubble corn 31K pop 151bu acre on 30 acres

Wheat stubble corn 31k pop 126bu on 90acres

Wheat stubble corn 21k pop 115 bu on 20 acres

Is bean stubble really worth 25 bu acre? Is it nutrient tie up in wheat stubble? Blacker dirt? Luck of the draw?

The lo pop plot showed at $2.50 corn that the higher pop barely paid for the seed cost. So maybe my sweet spot is somewhere in between 21 and 31k.

This was all pre plant spread and vt'd once. Maybe should have vt'd the wheat stubble twice to blacken it up a little more.

What does anyone else think? Is bean stubble worth 15-25bu yield bump? Thanks
