Subject: Cover crop confusion...

East Central Ia
Is it just me or have other noticed this as well?

My rye cover crop seems to help my poor ground and hurt my good ground.

My best looking corn that had rye is one of my poorer farms... My worst looking corn is some of my best ground that had rye...

I had about 600 acs of rye this year as well as some full tillage corn on corn, and some no till so I have a big range of practices to evaluate this year.

I am holding my judgement until I see yield data... But I will admit I'm very frustrated with Rye cover crops atm.
