South Eastern ,ILL | Our 9410R Engine coupler came apart (4000$ est)it also got the engine
drive shaft. This tractor has 1100 hrs , and the warranty just
went out in January. Over the years I had some weird problems
with JD equipment dating back to an 8440 with 500 hrs piston seized
up, 9650 combine @ 136 hrs had a main hydro failure, (had to trade it off mid season) a 9760 broke a engine crankshaft @ 300 hrs, now
this 9410R problem. Just really disappointed in this tractor. We rented
a Case 385 while in was in the shop, pulling a 35' Turbo-max, my son
said the 385 would eat the 9410 up. Anyway most all our other working
tractors are CIH, maybe we need to be 100% CIH, makes me want to reconsider my tractor purchasing strategy.Knock on wood our CIH's
haven't caused much problems at all. .....I know all the JD lovers will jump all over me but this has been my experience, I still like the way JD's drive and so on but the repairs seem excessive. I sure wouldn't want a fleet of them by no means......Rant over but no Koolaid for me. | |
