| adm currently has a +2 basis at cedar rapids. they have a program to send the corn in now on basis contract. the spread between march/july at that time was -11 which would give a total of -9 for july and then those bushels could enter the adm advantage contract for 8 cents. so the price would essentially become -17. I would like to get some grain moved but have never done anything like this before, just unsure if this is a good move or not. I'm guessing historical summer basis there is usually positive, but I have not really watched it. is there anywhere to get historical basis data for there? seems like in the past charts for cedar rapids have been posted in the past. thanks! | |
