try this
Add these two lines to the C:\config.sys file, then save the file and reboot the computer.
device=c:\windows\system\csmapper.sys
device=c:\windows\system\carddrv.exe /slot=n
(where "n" is the number of PCMCIA card slots; this is usually "2"
)
