i just read more about the pro 600 mixer. it said bread hook should only be used on speed setting #2. setting 1 or 3 would damage mixer. did you know about that, or what speed you use? maybe speed 2 is the 'direct' speed, so straight through on the transmission.

i need to read the book on our mixer to see. if that is the case, the warning should be placed right on the mixer.

Caution: Never ever go beyond Speed 2 when mixing and kneading heavy dough.


Most of the negative feedbacks are from 4 to 8 years ago. In most of those years KitchenAid used nylon gears and plastic components.
